Tenancy Management and Support

At Solace Supported Living, our Tenancy Team is dedicated to ensuring that each individual who joins our program receives the best possible support and housing solution. Upon referral, our Tenancy Team initiates a comprehensive process that begins with an initial pre-tenancy assessment. With their extensive knowledge of our properties and the needs of the residents, they will assess the most suitable accommodation option and create a personalized housing offer.
This process is just one aspect of the Tenancy Team’s responsibilities. They are also deeply involved in property viewings, the handover of properties, and upholding the tenancy rules to ensure a stable and harmonious living environment for all our tenants. Their role is to ensure that residents feel supported, safe, and empowered throughout their tenancy.
While Solace Supported Living is fundamentally committed to supporting and nurturing all our tenants, we also understand that, from time to time, issues may arise. Occasionally, there may be cases where behavior conflicts, breakdowns in relationships, anti-social behavior, or disturbances affecting the wider community can occur. In these situations, the Tenancy Team steps in to manage, mediate, and resolve the situation.
We take a compassionate, negotiation-based approach first and foremost, aiming to resolve conflicts through dialogue and mutual understanding. If a resolution cannot be reached, and the issue continues to impact other residents or the surrounding neighborhood, we may propose alternative housing solutions. For such situations, Solace Supported Living keeps a number of immediate access properties available, ensuring that swift and effective action can be taken.
As a final measure, if all attempts to mediate and resolve the situation have been exhausted, and the impact on others becomes significant, removal from the program may be considered. This decision is never taken lightly. In such instances, the Tenancy Team works closely with the Support and Property Teams to ensure that the process follows best practices and upholds the welfare of everyone involved. Additionally, we collaborate closely with external agencies or authorities as necessary to ensure the best outcome for the individual and the community.
Another vital responsibility of the Tenancy Team is the collection of weekly service charges and any additional fees that may be incurred, such as charges for malicious damage or tenant-requested works. These actions ensure that the services we provide remain sustainable and that all residents continue to benefit from the high standards of care we strive to uphold.
At Solace Supported Living, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment, where individuals can thrive and rebuild their lives with dignity.
