Who we can help

At Solace Supported Living, we believe in the power of personalized care and flexible housing solutions. Our approach is built around the unique needs of each individual, ensuring that the support we provide is not only suitable but also empowering for those who require assistance.
We offer a range of services designed to assist individuals from a variety of challenging backgrounds. These include, but are not limited to, people who are ex-offenders, individuals with mental health conditions, those experiencing homelessness, individuals in recovery from addiction, and veterans transitioning to civilian life. Importantly, these individuals must be in genuine need of supported housing—meaning they are unable to access accommodation through mainstream housing options or other channels.
Once a person meets these criteria, a referral can be made to Solace Supported Living’s Tenancy Team. Each individual referred will be invited to attend a Tenancy Pre-Assessment Session (TPAS). During this session, we will verify the referral details, gather additional information, and assess eligibility and suitability for our housing services. This process helps us ensure we offer the most appropriate housing solutions based on the individual’s specific needs and circumstances.
An essential part of our referral process involves assessing benefit eligibility. While the specific requirements may vary depending on the individual’s background, generally, citizens must be in receipt of benefits such as ESA, DLA, or PIP to qualify for our supported living services.
Once an individual is accepted into the program, a tailored housing offer will be considered. However, before a formal offer is made, a Property Selection Assessment (PSA) is conducted. This ensures that the selected property is safe and suitable for the individual, taking into account factors such as the level of risk to the individual, the existing residents, and the local community.
In instances where the PSA indicates that the individual is not a match for a particular property, a decision may be made to not proceed with their placement. This is never an easy decision and is made only after careful consideration of all involved. At Solace Supported Living, we are committed to ensuring that every decision we make contributes to the wellbeing and safety of both our residents and the wider community.
Through our comprehensive, compassionate, and personalised approach, Solace Supported Living remains dedicated to providing the highest level of care and support to those who need it most.
